Our program unites the outstanding student musicians of the Frost School of Music in an environment rooted in excellence, collaboration, creativity, and a deep commitment to artistic growth. Through our two ensembles—the Frost Symphony Orchestra and the Frost Repertory Orchestra—we provide diverse, meaningful opportunities for students to develop as performers, leaders, and creative thinkers.
The Frost Symphony Orchestra serves as our premier ensemble, offering world-class performance experiences that challenge students through masterworks of the orchestral canon and innovative contemporary projects. The Frost Repertory Orchestra functions as our laboratory ensemble, giving graduate conductors essential podium time and enabling instrumentalists to explore major repertoire through readings and performances. Together, the Frost Orchestras inspire students to expand their musical horizons, honor tradition while embracing innovation, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive artistic community.
